Teachers Notes - Why? How? What? |
|||
Why we like this activity …. Simple and clear visual aid! Google sketchup encourages students to literally look at the problem from a different angle. The medium is both helpful and exciting! How this activity be used …. The activity encourages the use of different screenshots to help justify answers. Given that students need acces to computers for the sketchup file, I suggest that answers are done on computer as well. Alternatively students make written notes and 2D diagrams on paper as they work. What to expect when using this activity – from our experience watch this space..... Extra Notes Obviously the lastest version of Google sketchup is required for this. it is free and very easy to use (especially if you are only orbiting). I recommend following some of Googles online tutorials and experimenting with this software.
